Painting Show at Alliance Francoise
The opening of Painting Show named “Pon Phaw Chin” is of Mandalay-native artist Kyi Win will be held at Alliance Francoise on 14th of coming month. The debut of his painting display had been staged in 1994 and not only participated in the show staged in home-New Zero Art Show and Inya Art Show, but in the Group Art Shows held in Thai and Singapore.

In commemoration of TV & Movie is going to be held at Alliance Francoise in Yangon and household name comedians, Ah Yaing, Nge Phaw Kyaw, Po Phyu and Nhyaung Nhyaung will perform in the arrangement. Doctors renders free treatment
Myanmar Border Area Development Association Jointly with specialists from Yangon will provide three-day free treatment to indigenous from villages near around Moegyok Town which will begin to launch from 17 September. The team will proceed to Pappa and Bagan on 20 October to render free treatment for 3 day each.

Traditional Chinlon playing for paying respects to old-aged players to be held
A traditional cane ball-playing event for paying respects to old-aged players to commemorate its 20th anniversary, which will last for one month, will hold at the Kyauk Myaung traditional chinlon (cane ball) sport hall beginning from 2nd September, it was learnt. At the event the chinlon player groups in Yangon Division will play more than 100 sports activities weekly on Saturdays and Sundays as a symbol of paying respects to the old aged chinlon players.

Mid Year Gems Emporium to be held in October
The gems traders who wanted to sell their jades and precious stones can submit their gems to the Myanmar Gems Trading Headquarters during August 16 to the end of September, it was learnt. The sales of pearl lots and gems will be sold at the Myanmar Gems Hall on 21 and 22 October and the sales of the jades will be held at Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) on the rest days. The pearls and the gems will be sell by Euro currency and not only the foreigners but also local traders who possess the license of exploiting the gems and permit to sell the gems can also buy the precious stones, it was learnt.

The hotel and tour businessmen from Myanmar will take part and will open booths at the Thailand Tourism mart-TTM 2006, it was learnt. That Show will be held in Bangkok at CHALLENGER 3, IMPACT Maung Thong Thani from September 24 to 29.The exhibition is jointly arranged by the Thailand Authority of Travels (TAT), and FETTA, Thailand Airlines and private companies, it was learnt.

Tender for National Library
The newly-built National Library equipped with new elevators on 10.692 acre plot at the junction of Eastern Race Course Street and laydauntkan Street in Tamway Township, Yangon will be auctioned at a floor price of K 10,000 million. Proposal forms will be available at K 1,000 each commencing 11 August and the tender forms are to be submitted from 10 am to 4 pm only on 24 August at the National Library.
